We have come to the United States to live trips of that type in which the journey begins in the Country and strolls through blues, rock, rockabilly or pop. In Mandy\u2019s songs hide that wild route and a Patsy Cline hidden in the same hypnotic voice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mandy<\/strong> visited <strong>Austin<\/strong> on January 16 and we don\u2019t doubt it. Nashville sent us one of its brightest daughters and the adventure promised. The <a href=\"https:\/\/oneworldtheatre.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">One World Theater<\/a> was our destination, a crossroads of music that we reached by a sinuous road traveled by many legendary genres that hatch in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mandybarnett.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mandy Barnett.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kfUzWgl8p6I\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>A route through Mandy Barnett&#8217;s America<\/h2>\n<p>A vital journey lies behind these musical trips. <strong>Mandy<\/strong> was born in <strong>Tennessee<\/strong>. It could not be anywhere else in the world. Her voice tattooed since childhood by the fascinating influences that were around her soon began to make noise.<\/p>\n<p>She began her journey through the most fascinating <strong>America<\/strong> invoking <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Patsy_Cline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Patsy Cline<\/a> on the show <em>Always &#8230; Patsy Cline<\/em> and that fascinating voice built bridges in time that soon took her away. The sold out and critics were so striking that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asylumrecords.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asylum Records<\/a> signed it as a sure bet to update the <strong>Country<\/strong> with a versatile singer in which all the genres most identified with <strong>North America<\/strong> flow.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3221\" src=\"http:\/\/www.showmoonmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Searching-Mandy-Barnetts-Nashville-Young-Mandy.jpg\" alt=\"Mandy Barnett\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.showmoonmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Searching-Mandy-Barnetts-Nashville-Young-Mandy.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.showmoonmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Searching-Mandy-Barnetts-Nashville-Young-Mandy-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Seymour_Stein\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Seymour Stein<\/a> knows how to recognize young talent. With him, they achieved their first contract: <strong>Madonna, Seal and k.d. lang. Seymour<\/strong> understood the possibilities of <strong>Mandy Barnett<\/strong> instantly and a special connection emerged between them. The project was a posthumous legacy of <strong>Seymour<\/strong> after having worked with <strong>Ernest Tubb, Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline or Kitty Wells.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After the tremendous <em>I&#8217;ve Got A Right To Cry<\/em>, her second album, the media hallucinated with the new face of <strong>Nashville<\/strong> that began to dazzle in 1999.<\/p>\n<p>From that moment, she began to travel the American roads taking away that <strong>Nashville<\/strong> that is only in her mouth. We were both looking for that <strong>Nashville<\/strong> lost in time that few voices are capable of recreating and updating. The <strong>One World Theater<\/strong> was the Mecca for one night of that magical and mythological place called <strong>Nashville.<\/strong> Its Kitsch decoration gave it a special charm, from totally authentic experience.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps for the locals this type of experience is something conventional, for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.showmoonmag.com\/\">Showmoon<\/a> it was simply fascinating. It blew me away. In<strong> Europe<\/strong> a meeting with <strong>Nashville<\/strong> would be a trendy event. In <strong>Austin<\/strong> our presence was a generational transgression.<\/p>\n<p>The night was filled with personified charms in a <strong>Mandy<\/strong> that illuminated the stage with a smile only overshadowed by her voice. Close your eyes and travel to <strong>Nashville<\/strong>, that was the gift that held that fascinating and surreal evening. Behind her, <strong>Patsy Cline<\/strong> always appears, although at the <strong>One World Theater<\/strong> there was also time to wink at <strong>Willie Nelson<\/strong> and of course an exquisite review of her new <strong>Strange Conversations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Songs like <em>Cowboys Work<\/em> seem to be taken from a Texan meadow but in<strong> Mandy Barnett<\/strong> they are just one more stop in her trip through <strong>America<\/strong>. <em>All Night<\/em> is another of the hidden gems in that <em>Strange Conversations<\/em> that left us dreaming with <strong>Tennessee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3234\" src=\"http:\/\/www.showmoonmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Searching-Mandy-Barnetts-Nashville-Mandy.jpg\" alt=\"Mandy Barnett\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.showmoonmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Searching-Mandy-Barnetts-Nashville-Mandy.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.showmoonmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Searching-Mandy-Barnetts-Nashville-Mandy-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.showmoonmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Searching-Mandy-Barnetts-Nashville-Mandy-853x640.jpg 853w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>My World Keeps Slipping Away<\/em> is a beautiful metaphor of our lives. Escaping to a place called future that is the most peaceful for sure. And on that route, there will always be a <strong>Mandy Barnett<\/strong> putting the soundtrack to our unique experiences.<\/p>\n<p><em>Crazy<\/em> or <em>Stupid Cupid<\/em> are some of the songs that <strong>Mandy<\/strong> does not steal from <strong>Patsy<\/strong> but rather borrows them to rescue the unmistakable scent of nostalgia. Many of those present could see <strong>Patsy<\/strong> live with that aura of misfortune and endless talent that always accompanied her. Good music has no age and despite the fact that in the <strong>One World Theater<\/strong> our generation forgot to meet it,<strong> Showmoon<\/strong> represented it to claim that generational transgression. A night like that is hard to forget.<\/p>\n<p>I imagine that in her multiple European tours, she meets the typical heterodox public so common in <strong>Europe<\/strong>, where swarming hipsters, nostalgic, pin-ups or rockers. But none of them could imagine how fascinating it is to enjoy <strong>Mandy<\/strong> on her route through <strong>America<\/strong>, a country whose musical map springs from her infinite voice.<\/p>\n<p>Travel with her in search of her <strong>Nashville<\/strong>, the brightest and most fascinating place you will ever find. Welcome to musical <strong>El Dorado<\/strong>.
