More than 2 million Christmas lights illuminate Zilker Park with the brightness of illusion. No matter the age of the eyes that look, the soul of a child that we all keep vibrates with this spectacle without equal.

Apart from such a fascinating staging, Trail of Lights offers cultural activities for children and adults, and the most popular flavors of Austin. Christmas is also eaten in the delicious foodtrucks of Austin’s Pizza, Amy’s, La Fantubuluos Taqueria, Tamale Adiction, Four Brothers or Knotty Nice Bakery, among other succulent proposals.

How much fun and happiness Santa gives us! For that reason, it is time to toast for a happy Christmas in this tribute to its most endearing character. Rainey Street will be filled with Santas partygoers who will toast for solidarity. Between drinks, Karaoke and lots of fun, money will be raised to help the causes of Big Brother, Big Sister.

New Year’s Eve is the big party of the year. The moment to burn the old and to welcome the new, enjoying dream places, spirits and the most chic music.

Vices and Virtues also emerge at Christmas. At the W Hotel in Austin, you can enjoy two night worlds. In the Vices Party, you will live in a decadent and dark underworld totally fascinating. Vices to start 2019 with a dose of irresistible hedonism. In the Virtues Party, located on a different floor of this pleasure complex, you will meet Areta, the goddess of virtue. Before her, gold, shine and luxury will open the doors of the festive paradise with which you will dream a whole year.

Another way to receive 2019 is to immerse yourself in the brightest night in history. This tribute to the disco that Native Hostel has prepared will be an overdose of color and good music for the most partying souls of Austin. The djs cabins will burn so you can dance until their spectacular lights go out.

Their music is the perfect finale for a 2018 in which they have established themselves as a benchmark of rock worldwide. Welles is another nostalgic rocker. Born in Arkansas, his life is a guitar and some intimate lyrics that seduce you. Throughout a concert he is conquering your feelings until the moment when you deliver your soul. Rock resuscitates in this simple guy that has recovered the essence of an indomitable genre.

For that reason, in Fallout Theater, they have proposed to take us out of doubt and form three teams of comedians to compete for our laughter. Stoned, drunk or sober humorists will make us cry with laughter as a prelude to a happy Christmas.

The theater is the mirror of the soul. It captures human emotions like no other art. It was only a matter of time before the most alcoholic part of our mind was taken to the theater. In Sh*t Faced, actors with a few glasses of Bourbon over interpret Romeo and Juliet in a drama that will make you cry and laugh. Such moments deserve to be lived while we toast for love and for lack of love.
